My Grandmother's Knitting is a great combination of story and designs. It made me start to think about who taught me to knit. It was my Gram she was always knitting for us and what a delight it was to find the pattern for Helen & Wendy's Slippers that was very much like the ones that Gram made for us every year as our feet were always growing. This is a book that will be great to give to a new knitter to inspire them to also pass on the gift of knitting to someone in their life.
